An editorial storefront for ethically inspired handmade crafts — built so Indian artisans and their states of origin lead, not just the products.
The work
Indian Kaarigars sells handcrafted goods made by artisans across India. A generic store template would have flattened exactly what makes the catalogue worth buying: the people and places behind each piece.
The design is editorial rather than catalogue-first — large photography, a serif display face and generous whitespace — with a 'shop by state' filter (Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand and more) so buyers can browse by craft tradition.
Storytelling sections, a brand film, testimonials and an enquiry form sit alongside the commerce flow, so the site works as both a shop and a showcase for India's craft heritage.
